Q: What does the economy look like in the game? Will we be paid time accurately or some sort of alternate 1895?
A: The answer is truly both. What we mean by that is we do want to keep it close to a 1895 economy, however, we do understand that getting paid $7 for a wagon delivery from Annesburg to Tumbleweed isn't fair either, and doesn't feel rewarding, and almost a waste of time.
We want everything to be within reason, so for example, that wagon delivery mentioned above, instead of $7 you get $20, now on the surface it looks low, but say you are saving up for a weapon such as a lemat revolver. That gun would be priced roughly $35, so things are obtainable but you don't have to grind all that hard to obtain $35 for a gun.
Prices will continually change up to and beyond launch, so DO NOT take this pricing as final say. We do not want people to have $20,000 in their bank because it costs a crazy amount of money to outfit your horse and buy guns, and we do not want to make it feel like it takes 5 hours to actually obtain things. The numbers will be on the lower end, but so will be the items you purchase.
This will always be a work in progress to balance things properly and to feel like you are not grinding in an MMO to feel like you have accomplished something.
