Why do I need steam open in order to join the server?

Q: Why do I need Steam open to join the RedM server?

 

A: Our framework works off Steam identifiers by defaultdefault. just like most if not all other scripts do, regardlessRegardless of where you purchased the game, such as Epic Games Store or Rockstar Games LauncherLauncher, you just need Steam open so the database grabs your ID.

We went with this route because otherwise while obtaining scripts we would need to purchase unlocked scripts so the devDev team could make a change to them which would take a bit of unnecessary time that they could be putting into other projects instead. Unlocked scripts while it gives us the freedom to change anything within it theyit, however are sometimes double or triple the cost twice as much asof a normal locked script that uses steamSteam identifiers by default.
